CP Campbell is an artist based at Coburg House Art Studios, Leith. She trained at The Learning Connection, Wellington, NZ, completing a diploma in art and creativity (honours) specialising in painting and sculpture. She has continued her artistic development through courses at Edinburgh Art College, self-directed art residencies on the west coast of Scotland/New Zealand and most recently completed the Contemporary Art Practice course at Leith School of Art.
Having enjoyed many years examining industrial seascapes and its metaphors, the constraints of lockdown forced an examination of subjects closer to home. The studio was closed and art materials were scarce but this inspired her M.Sc. in Art Psychotherapy dissertation. In this she examined the use of found objects as tools in art therapy. This led to a commitment to only use art materials either already in the studio or found on the way there: from this her Dwell series emerged.
Alongside her art practice CP Campbell works as an Art Therapist with adults and children.
